shibari
I was recently given the opportunity to photograph a shibari (japanese bondage) show. I found myself in an unknown environment, witnessing a performance with constant shifts of control and pain as an instrument or source for stimulation and exposure. the question that came up is how far pain can be endured as part of pleasure, as part of beauty. but then, what is beauty? I felt compassion and at the same time the need not to judge and remain open to the given situation. any opinion or feed-back is welcome.

Meiner Meinung nach greift das ganze zu kurz wenn man es nur auf "pain" reduziert. Ich finde du warst auch nicht neutral dem ganzen gegenueber und hast es sehr wertend dargestellt. Manfred
Hmm. Also mit "pain" war da nichts. Da hat so mancher Taenzer oder Sportler mehr Schmerzen durchzustehen, wenn aus ihm/ihr was werden soll.
Shibari hat "an sich" nichts mit pain zu tun. Aber ich verstehe schon, dass man hier innerhalb des Blogs aus Platzgruenden nicht alles bis ins Feinste explorieren oder extrapolieren kann.
