butoh double silence

the japanese butoh dancer tomomi tanabe performed at studio cypress, tokyo january 13th and 14th. I had the chance to photograph a performance that opened up tales, too many to name, pictures that seemed to me as big as life and simply beautiful.

‘Silence is more important than music. But music can help us improve our Understanding of silence …’ (Jewish proverb)

et fêter le silence avec la danse c’est comme accompagner les mélodies des âmes, les en|chanter dans une instantané…
