phosphonotop

phosphonotop is a visual media project by vienna based artist victoria coeln. I was invited to participate as a photographer, capturing the shadows of two or more dancers that move in a place filled with coloured light. during our first collaboration for the off mozart festival 2006 in salzburg, austria, we worked in black and white in order not to be distracted by colour as such but to perceive density, layers of depth and different stories evolving at the same time. victoria and I elaborated on different themes and the inclusion of colour in 2010 at the occasion of the hugo work festival at the radiokulturhaus in vienna, austria.

I am absorbed by the possibility to respond to an imprint, to follow two dimensional images and engage in an ongoing process. changing sources of light creates various angles of perception and I feel reality stretched in a surrealistic way.
