painting love is a street art project on film and canvas, initiated and directed by bjarke de koning, a danish film maker, editor and actor. people on different places around the globe are asked to paint love as they see it. the project started in copenhagen in 2005 and so far went to vienna, amsterdam and reykjavik. as bjarke is putting it, painting is the most sincere way to describe yourself and your life. what you put down with a brush always holds an honest subconscious layer. when a person paints he/she remembers a feeling. when you ask a person to paint love, you ask him/her to show the most personal inner self. I believe that through painting love we discover something important in ourselves.
